The Linkage Group is Canada s most prestigious National third party merchandising and retail information company. With over 500 employees across Canada, TLG provides the expertise and efficiency necessary when planning and executing retail resets, planogram implementation and retail information – including pricing and on-shelf audits.
Finance and Accounting Manager
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Created & managed annual and monthly budgets for IT, benefits and general purchases
• Provide project financial support and other analytics to business units, such as preparation of RFQ for
new business
• Financial evaluation of monthly capital spending
• Forecasted revenue and cash
• Lead and/or present financial analysis and results to business units
• Design and modify various reports to fulfill managers’ requirement and effectively support their decision making

Key contributions:
Using superior negotiating skills, I was able to save Linkage Group approximately $30,000 on benefits, purchases and IT outsourced contracts.
Within the first year at The Linkage Group, due to my obsession with due diligence I was able to find over $70,000 that was paid to Canada Revenue Agency in error by my predecessor and was subsequently rewarded with a bonus.
Payroll Manager
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Implement and developed the company’s payroll and benefit policies
• Managed/oversee a team that processed payroll bi-weekly for 500 and semi-monthly for 25 staff
• Implemented new payroll processing system, ie., ADP Pay Specialist & Pay-At-Work
• Reconciliation of benefits costs, payroll, bank reconciliation, payroll taxes, year end reports, T4, T4A, RL1 and government remittances.
• Minimised processing cost by implementing direct deposit, tax forms, pay advice and reports on line and negotiating with vendor for better rates
• Provided schedule to each department to optimise information process flow in a timely manner
