Projects

Android Application – NGO

Created an android application that can be used to follow profiles and activities of Non-Governmental organizations (NGO). Additionally, users can browse and get more information about various NGOs using filters such as location, and NGO’s focus.

The application creates a local database (using SQLite) which is used to perform CRUD (Create, Read, Update, and Delete) operations.

Android Application – Flight Planner

Created an android application that can be used to book, edit or cancel an itinerary. The app prompts the user to select a city of departure, a destination, and a departure date and then uses that data to populate a list view of available flights/routes.

The application parses a csv file to gather the user and flight data that is to be used in the application.

Passwords and booked flights are stored/retrieved from an external text file.

Windows Form – Text Editor

Created a simple text editor in VB .Net Framework.

The text editor has the following functionalities: open, save, save as, print, close, and exit.

Text Editor is designed with error handling in consideration, meaning a file cannot be printed or saved before it has been opened for viewing.

Windows Form – Movie Ticket Booking

Created a seat reservation and ticket booking windows form using VB .Net Framework.

Ticket Booking form allows the user to select a movie using a combo box. Once a movie is selected, the seats in the theatre are updated with information stored in a MDF database file. Seats are either vacant or reserved where vacant seats can be booked and reserved seats can be cancelled.
