Program / Project Manager – I work with our external manufacturing partners as well as all related internal groups

(hardware, software, and business / account groups) and track the overall program schedule. I am responsible for hitting our milestones and ensuring timely deliverables on key programs for some of our leading North American customers. I currently also manage several additional programs, including other set top boxes as well as software-centric diagnostics. My prior PM responsibilities included ensuring on-time deliveries of high-quality software to major account customers (AT&T, Telus, Belgacom, etc.). I also worked closely with middleware, VOD, and Conditional Access partners (Ericsson Mediaroom, NSN-Myrio, Minerva, Verimatrix and Widevine). I have also mentored some junior Program Managers.

Prior Roles

Gainco, Inc., Gainesville, GA Industrial Manufacturing Systems Control (over 3.5 years) Manager of Software / Electrical Engineering – Led a small technical team of s/w engineers in development across multiple product lines. Coordinated and improved our s/w field support, including system upgrades at remote sites in North and South America. Introduced VPN-based real-time remote customer support. Calix, Petaluma, CA Next Generation Broadband DLC Development (approx. 2 years) Note: my role at Calix was technical rather than managerial, due to its needs as a start-up company. Senior Software Engineer – End-to-end system-simulation software; TL1 network element interface. Nortel Networks, Alpharetta, GA MIS System / RT-1000 development (over 6 years) Manager – Project manager and first-line manager for a team of eight software engineers developing enhancements to database and GUI. Migrated the GUI to a Web-based application. Senior Manager – Project management for multiple concurrent projects, primarily the RT-1000 ACD/MIS system. Management included s/w development, verification, direct customer support for major customers such as Verizon, AT&T, and British Telecom (covering over 10 sites in North America, UK, and Australia).
