Graduate Research Assistant Fall 2014 - Present

Developed a web-application to search, edit and update features of Feature service using ArcGIS API for JavaScript with SQL Server at back-end to update the edits.

Installed, configured and administered ArcGIS Server and My SQL Server in Amazon Web Services.

Prepared and analyzed large datasets including 2003-2013 Forest Inventory and Analysis (FIA) data, climate data

(precipitation and temperature), land cover maps, soil property maps, above ground biomass and water yield datasets.

Modeled large datasets using machine learning algorithms (e.g. Random Forests) and Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR)

PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Spatial areal Interpolation: ArcPy Tool

Developed a spatial areal interpolation tool in python using ArcPy library that will transfer a data from one polygon (source layer) to another (target layer), which is a raster dataset.

Successfully tested the tool by interpolating the population density by Zip-code’s to a County-based layer. Special-case of feature selection: Add-in Tool

Developed Add-in button in ArcGIS using ArcObjects SDK for C# and .Net frame work to open a form with combo-box and button that can select vector features based on the attribute values through a spatial filter ArcObject function.

Tested the tool for selecting a state and displaying the message of total population statistics of all cities in that state.

Developed SQL scripts to map the point geometries and performed spatial selection using Postgres/PostGIS database and QGIS.

Created and populated a new table based on another attribute table. Associated the new table with a shape file, followed by spatial selection and used FME to transform shape file to kml format. ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE AND AWARDS
