PURPOSE AND SUMMARY OF SCOPE: The incumbent will work with the Lower Churchill Project
Quality Manager to maintain the Project Quality Plan, Quality procedures and forms, perform Quality Audits on the project delivery team and on Contractors/Suppliers, collection of Lessons Learned and facilitation of continuous improvement initiatives. PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following is being executed as a contract scope of work: • Maintain the Project Quality Plan; • Maintain the quality project procedures, forms, checklists and templates; Coordinate with Project Delivery Team the development and maintenance of project procedures; • Conduct Quality Audits on the project delivery team and on Contractors/Suppliers as requested; • Follow up on issued Preventive and Corrective Action Requests; • Expedite and verify the effective implementation of Non-Conformity Reports • Orientation and ad-hoc training of personnel; • Evaluate, assess and audit/survey suppliers and contractors quality on a regular basis so as to ensure the desired quality level is maintained • Follow up on requested actions discussed with suppliers and contractors regarding their respective QA program • Participate in regularly scheduled project meetings; • Contribute to quality progress reports including quality metrics; • Collect Lessons Learned with key project personnel and process for approval; • Input to weekly and monthly project progress reports • Maintain QA Records: Audit Reports, Preventative and Corrective actions, Nonconformance’s; and associated information • Facilitate improvement initiatives as requested by the Quality Manager SCOPE / ROLE DESCRIPTION "Incumbent shall work in accordance with the Health and Safety Policies & Procedures and strive to eliminate any potential risk which could result in personal injury or occupational illness."

Managed lab budget of up to $280,000/year • consistently achieved ‘Top Three’ rating for uniformity performance in Lafarge North America plants. • Earned recognition for maintaining a 100% ‘Complaint Free’ record for three years running, with total production/sales of three million tonnes in the US & Canada • Co-led team that identified, purchased & installed a $40,000 grinding aid feed system that delivered ~$50,000 in performance reliability improvements in the first year. • Implemented a limestone cogrind process and QC control that increased revenue by over $700,000/year while ensuring compliance to ASTM 465. • Collected and submitted comprehensive documentation that earned NYDOT “Approved Supplier" status for a key product, within one month of release of ASTM C 150 – 07 standards. Lafarge was the first cement plant in North America to achieve this distinction and was able immediately to increase production by ~3%. • As an Apollo Root Cause Analysis (RCA) "super user"; led high profile problem solving sessions that led directly to: - Savings of $875,000+ by eliminating kiln cooler downtime and reducing kiln start up delays.
