Media CDN is to simplify the preparation and protection of your VoD and Live streaming content for online delivery to multiple networks, devices, and formats such as VoD and Live Content.

Live Content: Ingest high-bitrate Live content in multiple formats, and support "DVR" playback.

VoD content: Prepare your VoD streaming content for adaptive bitrate streaming to multiple devices on different network types, in multiple formats.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Working as a System Q/A Engineer for the Media CDN product, which involves on developing automation framework to test end-to-end product testing, functionality and integration testing.

Involved on automating and testing the various network CDN products such as IIS, HLS and HDS.

Involved on installing and maintaining over more than 300+ servers during installation phases and constantly analyzing the performance of those servers.

Involved on configuring, publishing and playback of various encoders and video streaming devices such as Envivo, Elemental, FMLE, FFMPEG, etc.

Involved on developing automation framework to test the functional, integration testing, regression testing and creating/adding automation scripts for sanity and smoke testing for daily release builds

Involved in automating test scripts using PERL and TCL to generate test data for functional testing, regression testing. Also, Involved on modifying the existing framework code cleanup.

Worked on manual Testing for feature testing, integration testing, regression testing and involved in identifying and analyzing the test gap and tracking the defects using JIRA tool.

Worked on load and stress testing to verify the device stability using load tools like IXIA, SPIRENT and SIEGE tools and raising the FRs (fault reports).

The Cisco Content Delivery System (CDS) is a distributed network of Content Delivery Engines (CDEs) running Content Delivery Applications (CDAs) that collaborate with each other to deliver multi-format content to a variety of client devices. Cisco CDS (Content Delivery System) is a Multi-Protocol, Multi-Format Content Distribution System and optimally moves the content from its origin servers to locations that are proximal to the end users.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Involved in creating test scripts for Automating features and regression test plan and analyzing the test gap and customer support and bug reporting.

Based on the requirements from client, developed automation test cases using TCL and PERL to verify the functionality of the systems.

Worked on Application Protocol HTTP and various streaming technologies like Windows media technologies, Flash media services with high definition video delivery system, cutting edge technology ABR (Adaptive Bit Rate) with various vendors implementation (MS-Smooth streaming, Apple-HLS Streaming).

Worked on setting up Windows Encoder, IIS Smooth Server configurations, CMP/CME Cisco Media Encapsulator to feed multi format Apple HLS and Microsoft HSS contents to the Network Storage share device using VOS devices.
