I am a recent graduate with honors from the economics and mathematics program at University of California, Santa Cruz with data analysis skills, and am very excited to apply for the QA Analyst position. I have high stamina and genuine excitement when it comes to tackling statistical and analytical problems, especially when they involve a nuanced understanding of complex data trends.

While in college, much of my coursework was spent studying statistics and probability theory, as well as learning practical techniques for handling large data sets and extracting useful information from them. In an advanced econometric class, I analyzed publicly available health data to find a positive correlation between mortality rates and a lower drinking age, relying on regression techniques through R. Proficient with SQL, I have experience writing complicated queries, updating and creating tables, and working with database designs. I have also worked with python to wrangle and analyze data, as well as being highly skilled in Excel data analysis tools. I excel at communicating complicated ideas and trends, as I complimented my economics and math education with a major in film and digital media, in which my writing, research, and communication skills were honed. More than anything, I would find it very rewarding to exercise my analytical skills and provide value for company that consults for respected IT companies.
