Virtual Machine Placement Using Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm.

An optimal placement of virtual machines with in a group of hosts in a cloud environment is necessary for improving the resource utilization and power consumption. In many of the previous works this problem is considered as an NP-Hard problem and approaches such as bin packing method and some evolutionary methods are used. In this paper we apply artificial bee colony algorithm which is an evolutionary method with the aim of allocating the virtual machines to the hosts so that the resource wastage is reduced.

Expected Routing Overhead for Location Service in MANET under Flat Geographic routing.

There is a routing overhead due to location information collection and retrieval in mobile ad-hoc network. The overhead is reduced by decreasing the number of bits required to store the information and also by developing a new framework to exchange control information between the nodes.
