Current Responsibilities:
Implement the Release and Change Management policy as per ITIL standards
Define, document, maintain and communicate the defined process at all levels within the organization
Ensure adherence to the Release and Change Management guidelines and process
Review the effectiveness and efficiency of the release and change process along with the Process Owner
Manage infrastructure releases end to end which is used to roll out high risk normal changes to save downtime for the business
Analyze the high risk changes, review them for the implementation, validation and back out plan
Check if the change is already implemented in test environment successfully. If not, analyze the risk involved to implement directly in production and take a decision to approve or disapprove after consenting with the Business owners
Facilitate the Change Advisory Board meeting to discuss all high risk level changes
Prepare release plan, create release record and relate change requests with the release record
Conduct release planning meeting and identify the activities for the following release window
Plan, schedule releases and change requests
Ensure releases are tested properly
Review and approve/reject release planning, build and test phases
Moves release record to different stages based on the progress
Communicate release plan to stake holders
Oversee the release design, build, testing & deployment activities
Monitor the release deployment and communicate appropriately
Communicate release progress and release implementation status periodically to all the stakeholders
Create service introduction, training and communication plan for the technical teams
Perform release closure review and close release record
