Responsibilities:

I am the supervisor for the Document Imaging Specialist personnel. My many duties include recruiting, orienting, training and evaluating personnel. Reviewed leave request, time cards and time sheets. Reviewed purchasing within the department. Handling personnel issues. Exercising leadership in promoting employee satisfaction, commitment and teamwork, by clearly articulating facility goals. Monitoring productivity by utilizing productivity reports and spreadsheets. Training employees on system functions within all departments. Maintain all login information for all 12 centers for all software and Eligibility and Benefits website programs. I assist with Software updates, Hot Fixes and test in development and prod environments thoroughly before implementation. Created "how to" and "cheat sheets" tools to all staff. Chaired the Corporate training, Scanning and ICD 10 monthly meetings. Contributed to the quarterly newsletter with training tips and was backup to Clinical Systems Supervisor in their absence. I am on the ICD 10 committee board for implementation, testing and training.

Before my promotion, I was responsible for billing and coding for 11 medical centers for Medical and Dental claims. I worked accounts receivable. Audited coding errors on claims before leaving the system. Created reports, closed month end and reported to the Patient Accounting and the Quality Improvement Directors for any and all errors. Worked with Area Representatives of Commercial, Children's Medical Services and all MMA's etc. in all counties with account receivables and established close relationships. HIPAA compliance knowledge, HEDIS, Meaningful Use and PCMH measures. I am ICD 10 Proficiency and have my certificate. I am also knowledgeable with the special contracting, reimbursement and billing requirements for a Federally Qualified Health Center.

Received special award for achieve a high level of collections and was promoted to Health Information Systems Supervisor.

Team Lead Coder for radiology reports and evasive and non-evasive surgical radiology, Oncology and Interventional Radiology. I was Team Lead for several of their larger accounts. Responsibilities were coding from hospital reports, auditing and oversight of the Accounts Receivable team.

Team Lead Coder for several large accounts. I received a letter of accommodation from their corporate headquarters in Alabama. Always maintained a 98% proficiency rate for all coding reports and accounts.
