Hexcel- Kent, Washington, as Manufacturing Engineer, CMfgE.

A position as a direct report to Operations manager for a project to convert existing Hexcel fabricated Boeing aerostructures & Sikorsky helicopter composite plastics Manufacturing Plans into current Boeing (VELOCITY) manufacturing execution system. Conversion from existing (MAX) and MRP (CINCOM) systems data into (VELOCITY) planning and (AX) MRP system data for Boeing parts fabricated at Hexcel. Liaison with shop to coordinate process change improvements into new VELOCITY planning. Determined, corrected and input shop floor routings, into required new format prior to new MRP system conversion. Primary work load assigned to me was Boeing 777 Empennage composite & assembly parts.

Manufacturing Engineering Production Specialist/Planner

Seattle, Washington. Initial contracted job was as a Manufacturing Engineer Parts specialist. Responsible to do requirements analysis, Parts Ordering, Purchase Requisitions, and Installation Planning for 787 Dreamliner and 747 Flight Test Aircraft. DCAC/PDM, CATIA V5, ENOVIA, REDARS, DELMIA, IVT SYSTEMS. Awarded (3) BOEING Pride awards for exceptional performance.

Product Manager for MOST (Manufacturing Operations Support Team for Flight Operations, Test & Validation)

Designated as a Manufacturing Engineering representative from Flight Test ME to a Group chartered to develop process and methods to improve Flight Test Manufacturing Machine Shop capabilities and performance by improving work demand methods and processes to fabrication shops from Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering.

787 Flight Line ME – Everett, Washington. Responsible for writing emergent repair instructions to Flight Line mechanics from Liasion Engineer MRB discrepancy reports in support of the (6) Flight Test aircraft in the 787 program and subsequent close support of aircraft mechanics and Liaison Engineering for production aircraft.

Special assignment - to newly formed WPT (Work Placement Team) to write production planning for offload parts sent for fabrication by Vendor Machine & Parts fabricators.

Special assignment - to IASL (Integrated Aircraft Systems Laboratory) to estimate work timing requirements and work process improvements. Documented and wrote internal process for IASL ME estimates of processing time required to generate FAA certification planning for first articles and conformity tests.

1997 to 2007 -DaimlerChrysler – Auburn Hills, Michigan

Product Release Engineer for Noise, Vibration & Harshness and Vehicle Sealing

Responsible for NVH and sealing & intrusion prevention for Pacifica and Town & Country vehicles at Windsor, Canada, St. Louis, Missouri and Graz, Austria assembly centers. Project lead/liaison engineer to develop, integrate, and control, (using CATIA V5 & lean concepts) engineering requirements, design prototyping/producibility, coordination of material development and usage requirements, selection of production materials and, implementation of a robotically applied sealing strategy for the prevention of water, carbon monoxide, and dust intrusion into vehicle platforms while maintaining supplier and production budget targets.

I initiated and was signature buy off lead, for production robotic cell process, at the Windsor Canada assembly facility providing an estimated yearly production cost savings of $500K. I authored and implemented a 5 year cost savings of $7,200,000 on a material and part change.

1994 to 1997 General Motors – Flint, Michigan - Manufacturing Systems Integration Engineer

Assigned as responsible Project Lead successfully bringing the Detroit Hamtramck, Orion, and Buick City assembly plants into carrier/conveyance commonality while maintaining a $5,000,000 budget.

Developed manufacturing and major sub-systems requirements as the technical writer and author

for vehicle and manufacturing specifications supporting current, and future, luxury model automotive platforms.

Performed as the Liaison Engineer between Design Engineering and three above listed vehicle assembly plants.
