With a strong skill set in the domain of computer network (Routing and Switching) and a curious mind to develop more skills, I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Computer engineering. I am keen to kick start my career in the same field, holding a position responsible for network setup, troubleshooting, technical support, etc. Interfacing between teams, problem finding and solving, accelerating the growth of my organization and myself, are the key leads of motivation for me in the network industry.
Academia:
Masters of Science, Computer Engineering Aug 2014 - May 2016 San Jose State University, San Jose, California GPA: 3.45/4 Bachelor of Technology, Electronics and Communication Apr 2009 - June 2013 Maharshi Dayanad University, Rohtak, India GPA: 3.68/4 Relevant Coursework:
Network Architecture and Protocol, Network Security, Network programming, MPLS, SDN, NFV, Network Queue & Delay Analysis, Network Theory, Digital Electronics, Operating Systems, TCP/IP protocols : DNS, SSH, SNMP, DHCP, FTP, SSL/TLS. Tools:
Wireshark, TCPdump Nessus, Metasploit, Nmap, mininet. Experience:
Network Administrator intern at Adobe System Incorporated, San Jose Summer 2015
- Worked on OSPF, BGP, IGRP routing protocols in lab environment, ensured that the network and system infrastructure is operational at the headquarters. Hands on experience with CISCO switches and Routers.
- Participated in LAN refresh, configuring and troubleshooting the access switches. Provided support to tickets flagged for VOIP, IP issues, and assisted with network issues.
- Assisted in designing Datacentre to improve redundancy for new network architecture. Intern at Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR HQRs), India Summer 2013 Project: Study of Data Centre & Network Audit
- Worked on network management and auditing, learned about two IPS- VSNL & NKN. Academic Projects: San Jose State University Fall 2014 - Present SASA Dynamic Host Control Protocol (DHCP) Server
- Developed a Multi-threaded DHCP server with multiple instances and a common IP address pool that runs on Linux using C++ and used SQL LITE for database.
Mobile IP
- Worked on Mobile IP and its mechanism along with route optimization. Floodlight Controller based SDN dynamic load balancer
- Developed a load balancer which manages data streams over multiple redundant links between device and the control plane. The path selection was done using a cost based system per link Simulation of Label-Switching Networks using NS3 tools
- Explored operations like PUSH, POP and SWAP, labelling the nodes, selecting LSP and FEC. Gained knowledge about NHLFE, ILM and FTN label forwarding techniques and deduce their respective tables. Detect NMAP Scan
- Developed a script in python to detect and stop the NMAP scan attack on a victim machine with statistics regarding the performance of our script.
Certification Courses:
PG Diploma course from CDAC, Noida (IT Infrastructure System & Security) Spring 2014 Project: Packet Analysis & Sniffing using Wireshark
- Gained knowledge on Network Defense and Countermeasures, Cyber Forensic & Cyber Laws, Security Concept, PKI, Auditing and Security Standards.
