Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering June 2012 Missouri University of Science and Technology, Rolla, Missouri GPA 4.0/ 4.0 Dissertation: Stress corrosion cracking behavior of friction stir processed ultrafine grained light metal alloys.
The aim of the thesis was to study and correlate the effect of microstructural modification via friction stir processing on the stress corrosion behavior of Al-Mg and high strength wrought magnesium alloy.
Quantification of relationship between microstructural features and corrosion resistance of materials. M. Tech. in Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science June 2007 Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India GPA: 8.78/10 Thesis: Stress corrosion cracking studies of austenitic and duplex stainless steels welds.
The objective of the thesis was to study stress corrosion cracking susceptibility of AISI 304 austenitic stainless steels and 2205 duplex stainless steels welds using a novel technique of micro-cell capillary.
The technique showed promising results and distinguished the higher stress corrosion susceptibility of austenitic stainless steels as compared to duplex stainless steels in chloride environment. B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering June 2004
