Senior Manager – Laundry Product Approval Lab 2011 to 2016

Managed a $5M budget and 33 engineers and technicians. Drove the development of test programs to support product development and validation. Validation consisted of energy, performance, codes, and safety assessments. Worked collaboratively with tech leads to resolve issues. Drove development plans for all laboratory personnel. Coordinated globally with other regions for import and exporting of laundry products and supporting approval programs.

Reduced design times by 6-9 months through leveraging Global Codes which resulted in a onetime design cycle of laundry products.

oDrove codes planning strategy between Whirlpool and UL to grow global codes capabilities.

oDrove training plans for IEC 60335.

oUtilized ISO 17025 laboratory quality system for support structure.

Transitioned 6300 man hours and increased lab throughput by 10-15% through lean initiates, use of 5S and waste elimination.
