Safely able to maneuver vehicle in all weather and road conditions

Knowledgeable about defensive driving techniques

Follows and adheres to all Provincial and Municipal road safety standards and codes

Experience driving a public transit/tourism bus in Ethiopia, Kenya and Canada

Maintain timely service on a daily basis to local bus/tourism stops

Customer Service/Communication:

Provide prompt travel assistance to customers and answer inquires regarding transit information

Assist with collection of payment and issuance of tickets/fares

Aid and support seniors and handicapped passengers with access in and out of the vehicle

Liaise and coordinate with other staff (tour guides, mechanics, management) re: customer service and maintenance of vehicle

Ensure rules and regulations of company customer service/health and safety regulations and standards are followed at all times

Vehicle Maintenance:

Check exterior of bus for damage and record on City Bus Defect Reports

Wash the exterior of bus by driving through exterior bus wash racks

Park bus in the designated vehicle interior clean areas

Check signal lights, door operation, exit door alarms, bell cords, and ensure vehicle is up to standards with company policies

Complete pre-trip inspections and maintain driving and maintenance logs; complete written reports regarding incidents or unusual occurrences
