Developed and managed certification schedules (initial type approvals and maintenance releases) for GSM handsets including S710a, W600i, Z520i, Z710i, W710i, T230. Delivered initial type approvals within agreed upon project schedules for launch. Worked closely with project teams (hardware, RF, software) and project managers across diverse geographical locations, to create the initial certification schedule, identify risks based on hardware development and initial testing (HW and SW), manage results and risks for accurate delivery forecasts. Ported and maintained USAF UNIX noise model Noisemap, which is used exclusively in all environmental noise assessments performed for the armed services. Managed $100,000 contract to create a prototype Noise Monitoring System (NMS), for integrating data from remote monitoring field sites, community complaints, local area GIS and aircraft movements. Consultant to Los Angeles Airport Authority on a long term multi-million dollar contract to monitor aircraft flyover noise in residential neighborhoods and to improve the noise transmission characteristics of noise impacted homes. Represented Wyle Labs as an American representative to a NATO CCMS working group on aircraft noise modeling. Built an expertise in quantifying and modeling noise and its effects.
