UTLX Manufacturing 07/14-Present Material Handler/Rigger,Crane Operator,Switchman Working as a material handler at UTLX,there were various position that I had to learn. My training started out with switching,where I was taught to recognize the distant of the car lengths,switch tracks,drive the switch mobile,and learn the hand signals associated with switching. I was then moved to the crane where I was trained to operate and become certified on operating a 40 Ton crane. The position I’m in now is rigging. In this position,I connect chains and use various hand signals and a radio to communicate with the Crane Operator operating an overhead crane.
