National Grid is an international electricity and gas company based in UK and US. Operating globally, it is one of the largest investor owned company of the world with revenues more than 50 billion dollars. CSS (Customer Service System) is the central system of the legacy National Grid Customer Service Organization. CSS provides residential, commercial, industrial, service orders, financial and retail access services. CSS employs a Graphical User Interface to customer and company asset data to facilitate handling of customer request and inquiries. CSS comprises of Payments, Collections, Cash Processing, and Revenue Reporting. Payments are received from various sources like Internal, External, Web, DSS, Collection agency, EFT/Direct Debit. When all the payment files have been received, the End of day Cash process is kicked off to process the cash files. Responsibilities

Responsible for providing UAT support for Customer Service System Appl ication of National Grid.

Responsible for coding new requirements and later on performing unit testing And system testing.

Responsible for interacting with client for gathering business requirements, writing technical specifications, scoping releases and managing development cycles and delivery of code.

Working with Audit teams to ensure that the code in production is as per security standards.

Handling the process dealing with studying and analyzing business & functional requirements.

Working on Real time live customer issues if any at code level, fixing them and promoting to production at earliest.
