Plant Controller
Designed and implemented a continuous process to enter plant wide standard cost system including routings, labor and overheads.
Revamped the financial statements with the above and other changes that allowed the owners to manage their business as a manufacturing operation. Added a monthly forecast.
Assumed responsibilities for the quoting function including designing the software and training a specialist.
Created a process to liquidate inventory that cannot be sold through conventional means. Average recovery rates were in the range of $0.60 to $0.70 on the dollar.
Worked closely with our ERP consultants as the go to person to address manufacturing issues in the use of the software.

-Through a team effort, standards were set, changes were made and accomplishments met that ultimately led to the selection of Angola as the location for the divisional financial service center.
-Managed the HR staff for the Angola facility.
-Led a small team that reduced over 90 days outstanding A/R from $2.0M to less than $300K in 7 months.
-Implemented a robust cost accounting system that addressed the division’s cost accounting needs.
-Organized with the participants to bring the closing process to 4 days.
-Successfully hired and directed a team that included setting up a shared service center to serve 4 GL’s, A/P, A/R, collections, payroll and divisional functions. This included overseeing an internal office expansion with the total project savings of over $300,000 annually.
-Participated in a division wide project to rediscover the ERP system and its capabilities resulting in more efficient use and discovering best practices. Documentation was essential to the success.
