American Express Corporation is an American multinational financial services corporation. Basel project aims to implement data warehouse solution for Amex operations to enable them to take better business decisions. It includes business intelligence functionality, which will enable Amex to collect and analyze customer data to reduce churn, develop new attractive offerings and increase customer profitability. The goal is to establish a good, scalable architecture for the BI Solution which would also contain a flexible ETL solution.

General Ledger Reconciliation is the process performed by accountants to verify the integrity of account balances on the company’s general ledger of accounts. It involves comparing the general ledger account balances with other independent systems, statements, and reports, to verify that the balances are correct and accurate; investigating thoroughly any discrepancies that are identified; and taking proper corrective actions to resolve these discrepancies.

It is an enhancement project where we modified few existing as per Business requirements with accurate delivery and zero percent defects.

Contribution:

Analyze and understand the Technical Specification Document (Source to Target matrix) for all mappings and clarify the issues with Data Architects (Owner of Technical Specification Documents).

Development of the mappings and building Workflows.

Imported data from various Sources transformed and loaded into Data Warehouse Targets using Informatica.

Involved in Unit testing from my end before delivering to SIT & UAT team so as to ensure we deliver a quality code.
