Career Summary
As a Network Engineer I have worked on projects of various scopes and sizes. Working with an up and coming IT consulting company has allowed me to gain experience in everything from IT helpdesk to working on major government contracts, all while nurturing crucial business communications skills.
Leveraging existing company resources I streamlined internal helpdesk operations through a combination of process improvement, greater utilization of existing technologies, and user education. I have also managed and trained new internal IT employees.
I have experience planning, deploying, and maintaining almost all Microsoft technologies, ranging from Windows desktops to Microsoft Systems Center, as well as maintaining internal IT resources such as Active Directory, Exchange Server, and Hyper-V manager. This experience extends to the end-user side of the Microsoft technology stack as well, including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.), Remote Desktop, and other virtualization technologies.
I also have experience with proposal writing (mostly technical). As a committed team player (and leader) I worked with both the Business Development (BD) and Proposal teams (and, when needed, the client as well) to respond to government RFPs. I did so by analyzing specific business needs and project requirements for the RFP. Any solution I created in response to an RFP included ways to minimize risk, solution planning, solution implementation, and solution costing. A primary example of this experience is architecting and pricing cloud environments (mostly AWS) of all sizes for enterprises, from just two small instances to complex worldwide infrastructure requiring hundreds of instances across multiple availability zones.
My unique technical background, along with my ability to understand the needs of both BD and IT, makes me an asset to any project or organization.
