Supply Line Manager 2014 – Present
Negotiated and influenced factory management to align support staff headcount and forecasting to stringent service level agreements, factory tool up time, and inventory ending on hand to support a flawless F11x Ramp.
F11x 3rd Party Logistics Manager 2012 – 2014
Responsible for the management of $3.4m budget for Services, Packaging and Expense buckets. Enabled F11x to be the largest percentage decline in overall spends in the Virtual Factory (VF) in 2012-2014.
Managed though a 33% reduction in site headcount (HC) from 2012-2014 while successfully limiting the impact to FAB related services through negotiation with the FAB and vendor and LEAN Supplier Value Add (SVA) projects.
Drove supplier on time delivery (OTD) to the FAB up from 47% to 97% while reducing HC and reallocating vendor staffing to lower burden rate staffing hours. During the same period reduced supplier factory investigations by 83%.
Directly involved in crafting the new Supplier Report Card (SRC).
Partnered with vendor to increase SRC from 83% to 99% from October 2012 to April 2013.
Partnered with the site cost team to evaluate and segment dead and excess inventory profiles freeing up additional pallet spaces. Space gained reduced overall utilization site stockroom from 97% to 74% while enabling additional material from other stockrooms and sites to be transferred for emergency storage.
New Mexico cost Co-Sponsor with > $20M in Direct, Indirect and Cost Avoidance to F11x in 2013.
New Mexico Supply Chain Analyst 2009 – 2012
Domestic Inventory System project lead and established himself as the “Go To” person for questions for Domestic Train the Trainers (TtT).
Automation Core Team Co-Lead & Cost Lead – Coached, Enabled & Influenced New Mexico Global Fab Materials (GFM) to achieve a combined $9.5M in total cost savings through the use of direct/alternate sourcing, recycle programs, Inventory buy back and design for cost measures. Local Materials point of contact for the Spares Cost Kaizen where $60 per wafer start of projects identified. Aligned and influenced factory Finance, MSG & Materials to a strong agreement of site indicators sets and how they directly impact the overall site cost by creating a common language and establishing connections and flows.
Influenced an external vendor to create and stock a new Bill of Materials (BOM) in New Mexico with zero carrying cost consignment saving $275k in ramp BOM build. This contract negotiation enabled, broke down barriers and created contractual precedence for like results in Oregon and Israel.
Identified a gap in Materials indicators where FAB ordering behavior was creating excess material purchase as measured by Replenishment over Max (RoM). By educating FAB partners and Factory Management, New Mexico was able to reduce RoM by 93.3% and become the virtual factory (VF) best in class (BIC).
Machine Down Waiting Part (MDWP) maintained at or near 0% while reducing excess material from 31.1% to 1.3%. Removed ~900 dead parts from site while driving down High Risk Low Days of Inventory Indicator to 0%.
Co-Taught 2 MS Excel & inventory management systems to “upskill” peers within purchasing.
VF System Team member tasked with influencing IT efficiency changes to Factory Business Intelligence (FBI), Inventory Management Systems, and the SAP E-Pipe re-platform. These efforts resulted in an IT Excellence Award and better time management for peers across the VF.
Buddy/Mentor for several new GFM NM Buyers enabling their quick ramp and success. Created Commodity Plan Template and rolled out to peers as a part of continued business acumen improvement with the factory.
