Research Projects:

Established a molecular-dynamics based mathematical model to simulate the aggregation of Asian carp and implemented dynamic visualization of fish aggregation status.

Executed pilot experiment for establishment of a sensor-oriented information system based on Hadoop cluster; setup Hadoop cluster based on AWS EC2 instance (Linux platform) including environment configuration and sample examples testing. Data Analytics & Visualization Projects:

Preprocessed and analyzed raw data form U.S. Climate Reference Network (USCRN) Hourly Products using IBM SPSS, R, MATLAB, etc. and created an interactive web-based Weather Explorer using R (ggplot2, Shiny).

Networking Projects:

Implemented Instant Message System (client/server) based on TCP and UDP protocols integrating Graphic interfaces, encryptions, file transfer and broken resumption and database for customer information storage.

Established a reliable UDP data transfer using sliding window strategy for file transfer

(multithreading).
