Desktop Support: Drove all aspects of OS desktop systems. This support included Windows NT/2000/XP. Support for these operating systems included install, configuration, and daily maintenance. Assisted with VPN and RAS connection issues. Wrote several web pages with detailed information for account setup and a generalized place for users to obtain support. Support site included licensed software, setup for VPN and Dialup, and FAQ, as well as submitting trouble problems. Website was also used to reduce paper work by allowing users to submit forms via the website. Server Upgrade: Upgraded 13 servers to Windows 2008 Server. This support consisted of consulting and fixing OS issues as well as organizing set-up of systems and installations. Converted this site from AD 2003 to AD 2008 as well as upgrading Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2007.

Provided network appliance administration for NetApp Filer Support, OS updates, CIFS, NFS issues, and standard filer support. Network Attached Storage / Storage Attached Network: Installed and setup the first ever for TI Clustered CIFS file servers for south campus. This included managing over 8 terabytes of drive space. Setup the OS, cluster, AV system, and CFS / NFS mounts. These were Network Appliance servers cluster, which were setup with Trend Micro anti-virus systems. Pioneered the architecture for the online Network filer CIFS shares. Automated scripts to install and setup quotas for users. Consolidated of data servers and reduced amount of servers that were needed for support. Setup Dell SAN for additional storage space using Dell Open Managed software for maintenance.
Desktop Support: Drove all aspects of OS desktop systems. This support included Windows 95/98, Windows NT/2000, and Windows XP. Support for these operating systems included install, configuration, and daily maintenance. Assisted with VPN and RAS connection issues. Wrote several web pages with detailed connection step which included pictures. Also included in daily support was MS Office support, design software (Veribest, Gerbtool, XVOffice, Xilink), fixed issues with connection to network, hardware, added printers, hard drives, memory, sound cards, and changed out video cards. Customer Response Team: Senior customer response team lead. After taking over the organization, team closed 10,000 tickets during that year. Microsoft Systems Management Software (SMS 1.2- 2.0): Setup and installed new servers and assisted the team with OS issues as we were converting the OS from NT Server to Windows 2000. Setup the migration plan for each upgrade and worked with site support around the world for the upgrade. (Japan, Taiwan, Germany, London, India, etc.) Also used SMS to fix daily issues on remote desktop system.
UNIX Support: Moved into UNIX, PC, and server support for south building and approximately 400 users. Also supported Red Hat Linux with minor OS support. Changing passwords, fixing quotas, some software issues.
Server Upgrade: Upgraded 40 servers to W2K, supporting users around the world. This support consisted of consulting and fixing OS issues as well as organizing set-up of systems and installations.
Server Merging: Combined servers in new organization, which included combining license, IIS, filer, and Adobe Acrobat servers. This helped cut server support from 54 servers down to 14. Led ESD team in server deployment to convert from Window NT 4.0 server to Windows 2000 Server.
Helpdesk: Set up central help desk to route tickets quicker to their correct location. With a help of the team we established setting/layout for ticket information and we created web page for quicker submission.

Software Conversion: Converted south campus from static IP address to DHCP. Directed four-member team in converting and updating 2300 systems. Organized group, set up documentation for team to install software packages, and installed TCP/IP DHCP client. Group converted site and center II in six months. Also, upgraded OS and some hardware systems that were not able to support upgrades.

Directed Bayon Vines network supporting 50-75 users at corporate headquarters. This involved Apple Talk transport protocol and IBM Token Ring – 16 MB/s. Installed and set up remote sites all over the US. Sites included Albuquerque, New Mexico, Miami/Orlando, Florida, Las Colinas/Dallas, Texas, Denver, Colorado, and Burlington, Massachusetts. Installed Mestimed equipment to connect to Irving site for database access.
Upgraded all corporate systems to Win95 from WFWG. Maintained vendor relationships. Performed software purchasing and handled hardware contracts – remote site hardware and corporate site. Metstimed Installation: Installed and set up Metstimed equipment across the country. Installed modems to connect these sites to central office. Connections were 56K and included testing connections. Install and set up modem and completed connecting.
Accounting Applications: Worked closely with accountant to help with accounting software and support their desktop systems.
Desktop Systems: Deployed and installed new desktop systems in corporate office. Provided all 50 employees with needed support and upgraded users to new hardware platform. Converted two servers to Novel networks and moved all 50 clients.
