Reporting directly to, and receiving training and feedback from the project manager and assistant project manager on scheduling, ordering, commissioning, change orders, testing, coordination and closeout portions of projects.

Developing and researching a commissioning plan, procedures, testing methods, check sheets, safety needs, and tool lists for power, lighting, telecommunications, public address and security equipment and systems; maintaining progress tracking through project. Coordinating with other trades to commission mechanical systems that require separate electrical commissioning.

Reviewing documents and performing engineering calculations for project management and drafting staff to ensure engineering specifications, NEC, NYCEC, NYCBC, and NFPA 130 construction requirements, and relevant safety standards are satisfied.

Developing an inventory and parts lists for projects and confirming list against purchase orders submitted by vendors

Confirming power distribution transformer, switchboard, automatic transfer switch, panel board, and disconnect switch conduit routing, wiring, and overcurrent protection.

Developing labeling and identification submittals, as well as advising and correcting drawings for submittals

Confirming system cutsheets versus contract drawings, interfacing with mechanical and elevator trades to ensure compliance with all parts of specification, Composing RFIs to ensure that systems are powered, compatible and economically installed. Relocating circuits to spares as needed.

Developing complete wire, conduit, switchgear, panel, and disconnect tagging and labeling matrix to track tagging and identification orders, receipt, field issuance, and installation.

Ensuring power gear and systems and disconnects conform to NYCEC, NEC, and MTA/Amtrak and job spec labeling requirements.

Confirmed and reviewed Con-Ed fault current study, and Arc Flash study calculations to ensure NESC compliance.
