PROJECT Details:

Project 1:

M-tech final year project on “FPGA IMPLEMENTATION OF EFFICIENT DISTRIBUTED CANNY EDGE DETECTOR”

Description: The edge detection is one of the basic preprocessing operation carried out in image processing and object identification. Edge detection is a vital role in image processing. There are many algorithms are proposed for edge detection but still user needs optimized, accurate and less latency architecture. A novel algorithm for efficient edge detection is proposed in this project. In the proposed method is DWT and Adaptive threshold techniques, are used to extracts the fine edges, this method plays an important role in real time application. In this Project DWT is used to compress the image size by performing average and difference between adjacent columns and rows. It gives four bands such as LL, LH, HL, HH. LL band contains fine edges and other three bands contain coarse edges. This compressed LL band image is applied to an Efficient Distributed Canny Edge Detector algorithm. In the proposed algorithm, the input images are divided into blocks then each block processed independently to compute adaptive threshold. The proposed method results in significantly reduced memory requirements because of image compression and takes less decision making time there by reducing latency and increased throughput with no loss in edge detection performance.

Project 2:

B.E Final Year Project is “ACCIDENT TRACKING AND TELEMEDICINE SYSTEM USING WIRELESS MULTIMEDIA COMMUNICATION”

Description: Mobile telemedicine can be used to provide auxiliary medical services and has been used in emergency situations, mobile hospitals, personal healthcare, and in rapidly alerting doctors to a patients’ disease, rehabilitation, etc. By exploiting the advantages of wireless multimedia communication, such as current high utility, convenience, high data transmission rates, high the accident victim to the emergency clinic. This enables the physician in the clinic to assess the patient’s physiological condition in advance and arrange for emergency medical resources well in time, which could decrease the actual time required for treating the patient.
