IT Release Manager

Verizon Telematics Atlanta, GA

Lead for release and configuration management team within Hughes Telematics, later purchased by Verizon, to organize the deployment process from a diverse group of enterprise application teams and a highly complicated infrastructure.

Project: Major data center cutover for live Production systems. Release support for new data center build out. Coordinated with Network and Infrastructure teams to provide build out and transition cutover planning according to detailed project plan and estimates.

Project: Implementation and transform deployment process to CI/CD in the Dev Ops model (using uDeploy) where code could move from check in to release via automated process. Coordinated long term Dev Ops strategy with QA/Unit test automation and infrastructure automation teams to integrate as one continuous deployment path.

Trained on, and implemented new release process around the ITIL framework in an Agile and Waterfall SDLC. This allowed for consistent coordination between RM team and project managers.

Created release status reporting on software versions used by development teams and defects reported by test teams. Used reports as knowledge base when visiting scrum meetings and tracking deliverables and software versions.

Platform included Windows SQL Server, and windows physical and virtual boxes to support application access, reporting, real time in/out clock punches, and scheduled batch jobs.

Capital Project: Kronos Upgrade WFC 4.3 to WFC 6.0. Built cost estimates and timeline projections. Created weekly reporting to stakeholders on project status.

Capital Project: Payroll IT Lead for SAP HCM implementation. Worked with stakeholders to define and spec Home Depot centric process flows within the SAP payroll model. Coordinated with Accenture and business resources to integrate Compensation, Stock Administration, and Benefits Managers to the core payroll system.

IT System Engineer
