PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN

Mini Project on Electronic Barometer and Patient Monitoring System.

Project on Digital Stethoscope.

ABOUT DIGITAL STETHOSCOPE AND MY ROLE IN PROJECT

The purpose of this project is to design and implement a digital stethoscope for the detection of cardiac murmurs. The system uses Custom-built sensor to capture heart sounds and converts them to electrical signals to be processed by an ATMEGA644 microcontroller. In addition, the stethoscope uses a 1MB external flash memory chip to record and playback audio waveforms. For the user interface, the system includes a 4-line 20-character wide LCD display and 16 button keypad. Real time and recorded data can also be visualized using MATLAB interface that runs on a separate PC.A digital Stethoscope with embedded CAD features help to identify cardiac murmurs and other heart conditions, eliminating the need for separate imaging procedures (e.g. echocardiography) for diagnosis.

MY ROLE: Bringing components for the project, Soldering the components and designing small circuits by refering circuit diagram. Our group consists of 4 members.
