TECHNICAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Performance Improvement (Zachry)
Batch load process (400k+ record) was consuming more than 8 hours. This impacted the system availability for business. After the analysis, binary search algorithm concept was implemented using system utilities. The load time was reduced to 2 hours.
Reusable component (Zachry)
Multiple software’s were in the application development (legacy system) which led to different methods for source commit to the code repository. Manual intervention was required to merge the code from branch to trunk.
Utility was developed to commit the code from branch to trunk if the information of the code commit on branch was provided.
Nightly Cycle Time Reduction (Allianz)
Nightly cycle Job used to run for 8 hours (Legacy System – Open VMS). Job completion is critical for applications to be available for Business the next day. After the analysis of data and sequence of business operations it was identified the sequential operation can be made to run parallel with any impact to businesses operation.
