In the ten years of being a security officer i have experienced allot things. I have also learned how to change peoples concept on what security offices are all about.When i first started out there was no respect for security officers, the post where i was stationed people would not want to stop at the gate, they were very rude they would swear at us they would not give us their license, they would run through the gate and break it several times.I learned from that point to do my job effectively by dealing with the people based on the rules of the complex but i changed my attitude if they would talk to me in angry tone i would talk to them in a funny tone my goal was to not let them leave angry i would never give anybody attitude no matter how i was being treated and by doing that it changed the post completely. The people really had grown to respect the officers from the change that i brought forth and in doing that i saved that post from being canceled.That was a great accomplishment for me.

My responsibilities as the Gatehouse guard was to call the residents to verify rather they had guests or not.If the guest were cleared by the resident i would then log their information into the security system which would print out a parking pass and i gave access to the property.As Rover supervisor i would travel from post to post three times a week to check on guards and equipment to make sure the guards were performing effectively and the equipment was being well kept.

As the rover my responsibilities were to patrol the the perimeter of a grocery wholesale warehouse internal and external hourly.I was responsible for making sure all employees were out of the building at required times by management.I was responsible for monitoring security cameras and giving a report at the end of my shift if something suspicious happened during my shift.

My responsibilities were to take calls from the residents calling their guests in and when the guests arrive I would then log the guests I.D. tag number make model and color of each and every vehicle.
