June 2009 Promoted to Facilities Engineer. Consolidated three plants into one facility. Orchestrated asset relocation and equipment layout. Designed and procured equipment for an oxygen clean room. Assisted with environmental phases and permitting.

July 2010 Promoted to Plant Manager. Responsible for all financial aspects of the plant. Assisted with the hiring of an EH&S Manager. Oversight of construction of a new building and high pressure AE system. Ensured compliance with all EPA, OSHA and DOT regulations.

May 2012 Managed a $420k facility-wide ventilation capital project safely and under budget. This project brought the facility into compliance with AWS F3.2 Ventilation Guide for Welding, ANSI Z49.1 Safety in Welding and OSHA 1910.252 Welding Cutting and Brazing.

April 2013 Assisted with a corporate divestiture and on boarding of new ownership. Involved in merging of departments and corporate policies. Facilities in seven states were involved in this transition.

Nov 2014 Undertook an 18 month assignment as Plant Manager in Louisville, KY. This involved a complete turnaround in profitability, quality and safety.

June 2015 Promoted to Manager of Operations. Responsible for operations at both the Louisville, KY and Midvale, Ohio plants. Prepare production schedules and forecasts for the CEO. Present and justify needs for capital improvements. Define and investigate near miss and accident reporting.

Project engineer for the steel and auto industry. Projects involved contractor management, cost estimation, machine and structural design from concept to completion, construction management, structural steel and weld inspection/acceptance, project start up and new equipment trouble shooting. Clients included ArcelorMittal, Republic Steel, Timken, Ford Motor Company, Honda and General Motors.

Summary

June 2006 Republic Engineered Products, Lorain, Ohio: Field Engineer for the BOP vessel hood replacement. This $7 million project lasted 32 days and was completed 3 days ahead of schedule and $250,000 under budget. Maintaining a strict construction schedule, field modifications, weld quality acceptance and contractor management were key to this success. My labor responsibilities included 50 boilermakers, 20 ironworkers and 10 laborers.

Nov 2006 ArcelorMittal Steel USA, Cleveland, Ohio: Field Engineer for the BOF’s vessel relines. The project required running a 14 hour, 30 man shift, 7 days a week for 45 consecutive days. My labor responsibilities included 20 boilermakers, 8 laborers and 2 millwrights.
