To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing you concerning the Physician Assistant position you have available with one of your companies. In July of 2016 I will graduate from the Marietta College PA program and be one step closer to realizing my dream of becoming an exceptional healthcare provider. Consequently, I will start work soon and am eager to begin my career. After graduation and subsequently passing the national board exam, my husband and I will move to Orlando, Florida where he will begin seminary.
As outlined in my attached resume, I have a wide variety of medical experience. Clinical rotations have solidified my skills in providing quality evidence based medicine, a fervent dedication to patient care, and a commitment to a life of education. During this time I honed my skills interpreting labs and imaging studies, diagnosing patients, and discussing treatment plans. I can successfully perform many in office procedures and first assist duties for a wide range of surgeries. Additionally, I learned the acute importance of time management and the delicate balance of treating a high volume of patients while still providing adequate time in the exam room.
I find the most rewarding experience in the medical profession to be cultivating strong patient relationships built on trust. As such, my goal is not only to provide accurate diagnoses and treatment plans, but for my patients to leave feeling cared for and educated on their situation. People are looking for practitioners that exude confidence, are skilled in their profession, and genuinely care for their patients; I am that provider.
Although autonomy is a meaningful part of my career, it will be an honor to work alongside a team of elite and highly trained professionals. I look forward to capitalizing on their expertise so I can grow into a more proficient medical professional. None can argue the crucial need for specialized practitioners; however, my passion rests in hospital and critical care medicine. This scope of practice allows me, as a young healthcare provider, to widen my breadth of knowledge, experience, and skillsets. I will never stop learning, never stop caring, and never provide less than excellent patient care.
My projected start date is mid-September but this time frame is flexible. Thank you for considering my application and I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Laura L. Lewis, PA-S
