PROJECT DESIGN EXPERIENCE

Lockheed Martin - Senior Design Project Team Lead August 2014 - May 2014

Designed and implemented a streamlined MATLAB program to work with a wireless communication device (Zigbee) in order for technicians to notify bad bolt installations on an F-35 fighter jet.

Adapted to unexpected requests from Lockheed Martin such as changing the original program coding from C to MATLAB to establish communication with Zigbee devices.

Led and organized meetings with six team members and representatives from Lockheed Martin to discuss progress and issues.

Designed a housing compartment on the smart wrench for Zigbee using Autodesk Inventor and conducted a stress analysis test.

Provided a solution to save Lockheed up to $75 million dollars in cost cutting measures on their assembly with our smart wrench.

TCU Department of Engineering - Manufacturing Project Designer

Applied DFMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly) and Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing principles to create a new pecan cracker.

Collaborated with my team to design and develop minimal parts of a pecan cracker and simulated it on Autodesk Inventor.

Analyzed and simulated a stress analysis test using Autodesk Inventor to determine the viability of the pecan cracker.

Detected and identified the free movement capability pecan cracker.

Prototyped our new pecan cracker using sand casting
