I have just completed the Clinical Medical Assisting course at Onondaga Community College. The course included 140 hours of classroom lecture and hands-on labs which includes: preparing patients for examination and treatment, routine laboratory procedures, diagnostic testing, technical aspects of phlebotomy, and the cardiac life cycle, the proper use and administration of medications, taking and documenting vital signs, cardiology including proper lead placements, professional workplace behavior, ethics, and the legal aspects of health care.
On June 18th I will be sitting for the National Health Career Association (NHA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) national examination.
My hope is to have immediate placement now or upon completion of my CCMA exam. Authorized to work in the US for any employer
