The following are some of the main responsibilities under my leadership: (I) managed the Dell operation consists of two manufacturing facilities totaling over 800K sq. ft.; (II) managed eight supervisors and 250 employees; (III) enforced the established customer metrics expectations; (IV) actively involved in the implementation of the Standard Operating Procedures.

Successfully started the LTL SPAM direct ship JIT program from manufacturing by shipping CPU’s and merging with monitors, speakers and some other high value items.

June 2006 to 2009 Ryder Logistics
Senior Logistics Manager
Managed the Hewlett-Packard (HP) El Paso Distribution Center start-up operation as a third party logistics warehouse, implemented and improved the inventories accuracy from 98% to 100%; and maintained for last consecutive 24 months. The HP operation consisted of 450K sq. ft. facility with $16.5 million comprised of three accounts direct to consumers, indirect to federal agencies and commercial accounts. Interviewed and hired all distribution center staff management team and hourly employees consisting of four customer logistics managers, four customer logistics supervisors and 75 employees.
Worked together with the transportation logistic HP team maintaining strong working relationship with the local freight carriers and reducing the order turn time to 8 hours. Key accomplishments:

June 2004 to June 2006 Distribution Center Logistics Manager Responsible for the El Paso Distribution Operation and the traffic department with a in-house transportation company with an operating budget of $4.5 million. Participate and accomplished the reduction of expenses in the Traffic Department Key accomplishments:
Developed and implemented metrics in order to improve the inventory accuracy from 37% to 92.9% by implementing and enforcing inventory controls processes. Accomplished the reduction of excess/obsolete inventory in El Paso this contributed to increased production efficiencies and the reduction in inventory taxes.
Restructured the distribution center staff by department and reduced the excess of personnel, developed and certificated process by job function to increase the productivity and the continuous improvement.
Coordinated and controlled all activities in the Foreign and Trade Zone in order to be in compliance with the US customs requirements.

January 2000 to June 2004 Distribution Center Manager Participated in the El Paso Distribution Center start-up operation for a warehouse of 300,000 sq. ft. making all negotiations of contracts with vendors and contractors. This operation consisted in consumer and retail business and it had an operating budget of $ 2.5 million. Key accomplishments:
Worked with the Texas Employment Commission and hired all distribution center staff saving the company $1,000 per employee for all employees hired by this government state office.
Implemented and improved the efficiencies and accomplished the reduction of order turn time from 72hrs. to24hrs.
Initiated and established a safety committee program for all departments including the Call Center which contributed to 48 months without LTA or NLTA.
Successfully developed and implemented metrics for Consumer and Retail departments and reported to our upper management on weekly bases to demonstrate our continuous improvement.

July 1995 to January 2000 Warehouse Distribution Supervisor Supervised work crew of up to 40 employees in all aspects of warehousing and was directly responsible for improving the loading process at the Distribution Center, which reduced our Distribution Center returns by 95%.
Key accomplishments:
Responsible of the Operations Improvement Team which reduced average order turn time from 91 hours to less than 10 and was part of a team that analyzed the departments receiving process and developed an ergonomically better way that reduced soft tissue injuries or strains.
