Director Supply Chain, 2008-2015

Directed the consolidation of vendor database to leverage the division purchasing strength, achieving lower costs. Identified potential new sources, completed long-term agreements, developed project plans and transitioned the work from existing suppliers. Standardized supply chain activities across all divisions. Director Strategic Sourcing (Global), 2003-2008

I managed a dedicated team to leverage the commodity spend and to identify domestic and international preferred sources. The objectives were to reduce the supply base and year over year cost reductions for all divisions. I was responsible for customer contract flow-downs and negotiations for long-term agreements. I also acted as the division compliance representative to ensure compliance to Department of Commerce EAR and Department of State ITAR regulations.

Director Lean Enterprises 2001-2003

I managed the NORDAM Nacelle and Thrust Reverser System Division's Lean Enterprise conversion. Working with Simpler Consulting, I led up to four Kaizen Blitz events each month. 81 events in total for both the shop floor and office areas in two years. This was accomplished using time studies; spaghetti diagrams, KanBans and Standard work that yielded a 40% reduction in direct labor costs. I Developed point-of-use inventory pull systems. I was responsible for training and implementation of policy deployment for flow-down of improvement targets to the individual employees.

Manager Materials 1998-2001

I was responsible for procurement, Warehouse, Shipping and Receiving. While in this position I was a team member that led the due-diligence, acquisition and transfer of the Dee Howard business jet product line from San Antonio to Tulsa, Oklahoma. I also managed the supplier relationships suppliers located in Italy.

Reduced purchase part pricing by $9M over the last 26 months

Completed 17 division and 41 corporate long-term agreements with terms of 5 years to life of program

Developed and implemented inventory management and pull-based point-of-use KanBans that resulted in a $48M inventory reduction since 2008

Designed and initiated, along with executive staff, customer-based Value Streams with dedicated support functions embedded in the groups
