PROFILE DESCRIPTION

I am working as a Build & Release Engineer and had 8.5+ years of software industry experience in Build and Release Management using Rational Clear Case, Web Sphere Application Server, IBM Web sphere Process Server, Web logic, Hudson, Source Control Management and other IBM tools. I was involved in Build and Release management, Business Analysis, Web Sphere administration and Web application development. Having exposure in troubleshooting build/compile/configuration and integration issues, source code related issues between various teams of project. Co-ordinate closely with development and QA teams to implement successful daily & weekly builds. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

My Role involved all Build and Release management Activities viz. Compilation of Code, EAR Creation, Deploy on various Web sphere environments, Sanity Checks, Build Verification Testing, Transfer the build to client, Rebasing and updating Clear Case views, configuration and Administration of WAS,WPS and Web logic, Managing AIX environment, Updating Build Scripts.

Troubleshooting deployment and installation issues and administration of Web logic, WAS & Web Sphere Process Server (WPS).

Handling complete Build and Release process including code, documentation and supporting testing team.

Testing builds in Build environment using Sanity checks and by performing Build Verification Test using Rational Functional Tester Tool.

My role is of build specialist in project. My main responsibilities are complete end to end integration of the code using Hudson Build tool and deployment of the product using web logic application server 10.3, Tomcat, Jboss and IBM Websphere Application server to make sure the quality, functionality as well as performance assurance of the deliverables/products to the Client.

Responsible for creating and deploying builds on various Web logic, Tomcat, IBM WAS environments, testing in build environment and release to test team on scheduled time.

Multi Annual Strategic Project (MASP) is initiated by FOD FIN, the Belgian Ministry of Finance a part of an EU initiative to streamline the movement and control of goods and trade information between member states. By adopting a paperless communication and automated risk analysis systems, the ministry also aims to improve the transparency involved in decisions. ASP consist of seven independent projects AEO, EORI,EMCS,PDIE, BIOB,PLDA and Tarbell in which first five has been developed by IBM and rest two has been taken over by IBM from Unisys and Bull. Currently all projects are in Enhancement & Maintenance mode.

All projects except Tarbel are on Java/J2EE technologies. Tarbel is a oracle form based application but it is a very critical application which provide very important input to PLDA application. PLDA is most important and very big application with more than 300 tables, more than 500 screens and interaction with 13 external applications using various gateways. It handles Export and Import declaration, calculates duties and allows goods to move inside and outside of Belgium. EMCS is other big application which handles excise goods movement in Belgium and other European Union countries. It is using WPS for Business Process management and web logic for Business logic handling. It is based on SOA Architecture

Vista follows MVC architecture with Model Driven Development, Server Invocation Framework and XML based configurable GUI generation. This project is undertaken by Govt. of Switzerland with IBM being the implementation partner.

Main Responsibilities in the project

My role is of Build specialist in a team of 5 people. Complete end to end integration of the code and testing of products using RFT testing tools to make sure the quality, functionality as well as performance assurance of the deliverables/products.
