One phase also included the remodel of the Montego Bay wing with new Super Suites, Royal Suites, Penthouse Suite and 7,000sf Spa. Commuted from Temecula, CA each week.

Timeline required maintaining a pleasant Guest experience while we were under construction, allowing me the latitude to commute from California and work on additional projects for Host Hotels and Lennar. Brought in to manage and coordinate construction for Lennar’s two largest planned unit developments; the construction of the Escena Golf & Country Club, 355 acres with a 172 acre, 18 hole Jack Nicklaus Golf Course, Clubhouse with 2 restaurants, 2 Gatehouses budgeted at $272M; and Desert Lakes with 2,150 acres, 2 Community Centers and pools, 4 Gatehouses, 2 golf courses and 1 Golf Clubhouse with 3 restaurants and 1 Rec Center budgeted at $352M. I had full budget control, cash flow determinations and full control over all consultants and construction personnel.

I interfaced with Planning Commission and City Council for approvals, obtained building permits with extensive involvement with civil engineers, geo-techs, environmental specialists, grading/excavators and hydrologists. My areas did not have a sub-contractor base, so I found, negotiated with and contracted our subs and vendors. I set up full off-site operations. My area covered CA (lower desert), Las Vegas and Mesquite, Nevada and Cedar City, Utah.
