Behaviorial Specialist Consultant (BSC)
I develop and monitor treatment plans’ goals/objectives and intervention techniques for children and adolescents with psychological and behavioral disorders, such as autism, oppositional defiant disorder, attention deficit /hyperactive disorder, antisocial disorder and so forth. I formulate the treatment plan on the basis of comprehensive psychological evaluation and/or functional behavior assessment (FBA), for the purpose of helping each client modify his maladaptive thoughts and behaviors to lead a full functioning life. I consult with other members of the treatment team in the process of developing and implementing the treatment plan through non-aversive behavioral change techniques, in order to ensure its success across the setting (home, school, and community). Additionally, I prepare monthly summaries in which I evaluate with recommendations the performance of each client in regard to his treatment plan’s goals/objectives, and model for TSS suitable intervention techniques. I usually do 3-to-4-hour wraparound per week with my clients across the setting. My caseload varies between 9 and 17 clients. About 45 to 50 percent of my clients are autistic. I am quite conversant with expectations for functional behavior assessment (FBA).
