RESPONSIBILITIES
Reviewing WPS & PQR Documents.

Monitoring and control of welding consumables
Ensuring the welding parameters such as welding current, voltage, Pre- heat and interpass temperatures as per approved WPS and specification
Review and maintaining calibration records of inspection and Test equipment.
Preparation of weld maps and welding inspection reports
Receiving inspection of pipe and fitting by referring MTC.
Witnessing and inspection of golden joints.
Co-ordinating and witnessing for the NDT tests.
Knowledge in shop pipe spool fabrication and implementing spool identification systems.
Knowledge in verifying the dimensions and inspecting the alignment of pipes
Knowledge in insulation gasket verification and installation
Knowledge in hydro test reports.
Review of test packages and line checking for final inspection and preparing the punch list.
Proactively find solutions to safety, technical and quality issues.
Co-ordinating with client and the sub-contractors for any issues arising in the field and finding solutions for the same.
Before Painting application (check: surface preparation, cleanliness degree, surface roughness, blasting grade, salt contamination measurement, surface defects, blasting abrasives).
During Painting application (check: weathering conditions, Steel temperature, WFT, multi component mixing ratio, painting tools, thinning, application technique,.After Painting application (check: DFT, adhesion, holidays, drying, and paint defects,).
