Migration Activity Experience (P2V): Installed Solaris10u10 and the recommended patches on the servers, on the Netapp, we installed Ontap 8.1.Then we installed Solaris cluster software (sc 3.2u3) and the recommended cluster patches. The Netapp is the shared storage for the cluster. The Netapp has 2 controllers: ctrlA with 9 disks, which will serve the iscsi, and nfs. ctrlB has 3 disks, owns a quorum device, and is standby in case ctrlA fails. On the Netapp we create an iscsi lun, map it to the igroup from the suns. That will be recognized by the server, and placed in a zpool. That zpool will fail over in the cluster. This is the boot area for the zones. For the data, create a NFS volume on the Netapp, export it, and mount it in the zone.
