Worked with HYPCO, a hydrocarbon products company, as part of their Lubricants

Sales department. Duties included:

-Handling the sales activities of various Shell Lubricants that include:

1.Heavy-Duty diesel engine oils

2.Axle and transmission oils

3.Greases

4.Hydraulic fluids

-Preparing deal packages for already established clients as well as new potential clients.

-Working on a daily report that included all the activities done, all the clients contacted and what part of the process each client is currently on.

DAR GROUP (Dar al Handasah Shair and Partners) - Beirut, Lebanon

Field Geologist:

Worked for Dar al handasah as part of their geotechnical team, my work duties included but were not limited to:

-Site Supervision of various sub-contractor’s work, working mostly with geotechnical soil investigation companies.

-Sample inspection, sub-surface log inspections, and quality control of all related geotechnical site works (including in-situ testing and various field tests; example: lugeon, permeability and pressure meter tests)

-Final geotechnical report reviewing, going over all the field test results and their subsequent analysis and foundation design recommendation.

ACTS (Advanced Construction Technology Services) - Beirut, Lebanon

May 2014 – December 2014

Geologist:

Worked for ACTS Lebanon. My duties included, but were not limited to, the following:

- Supervising the Site work that includes drilling of boreholes for sample recovery.

- Logging, Sample assessment and recovery for laboratory testing.

- Performing various in-Situ tests on site that include:

1- Ground water readings.

2- Permeability Test (Constant head as well as falling head permeability test).

3- Pressure-meter Test.

4- Lugeon Test.

5- Standard Penetration Tests (SPT).

-Preparing a subsequent factual report for the work performed during our site investigation that includes the geological description of the studied area as well as the stratigraphic description of the drilled boreholes. In addition to working on the analysis part of the report with the geo- technical engineer, helping with the geo-mechanical parameters, as well as part of the foundation design.

Some of the projects that I have been active in were:

-Msaylha Dam Project: Supervising the drilling of nineteen (19) boreholes that varied between 40 and 60 meters in depth so assess the sub-surface conditions of the area for the subsequent building of the Msaylha Dam located north of Lebanon near Chekka area. My duties there included: Site supervision, logging, performing permeability tests, Lugeon tests, ground water reading tests, SPT tests, and Pressure-meter Tests.

-Holcim Project (Chekka-Dahret Ashme): Supervising the drilling of four (4) 100 to 150 meters boreholes in the mountain area of Chekka for the Holcim company, for sub-surface reconnaissance, in-order to provide geological and stratigraphic data for Holcim in order for them to proceed in there quarrying activities.

-Al-Sabeh Chekka Project: Supervising the drilling of six (6) 150 to 200 meters boreholes in Chekka for Al-Sabeh company, also for sub-surface reconnaissance. My duties included logging, and sample retrieval for laboratory testing.

-Bank Audi Project (Saida/Tyre): Supervising the drilling of 6 total boreholes, for sub-surface reconnaissance purposes, in order to provide stratigraphic data on the sub-surface conditions in both Saida area and Tyre area, for subsequent new Audi Bank branches.

-Barja Project: Supervising the drilling of 2 boreholes, for sub-surface reconnaissance, for a local contractor.

-Airport Project: Supervising the drilling of one borehole, to inspect the sub-surface conditions. Logging and sampling was performed as well.

ACTS (Advanced Construction Technology Services) - Jeddah, KSA

June 2013 - May 2014

Geologist:

Worked for ACTS in Saudi Arabia to help build the geotechnical department there. My duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

I- Training:

- To train all of my team according to BS 5930 for Site investigations.

- How to properly carry out site supervision. (Consultant and /or Contractor Contact;

How to work with the driller and his workers).

II- Operations:

- Maintain the geotechnical department’s equipment inventory (rig equipment and accessories as well as site equipment and tools).

- Insure the availability of all logistics and any related materials for our site work.

III- Business Development (Technical Aspect):

- Look out for new potential clients.

- Follow-up with existing clients in order to insure:

a) Good business relationships. b) Establish mutual projects.

c) Insure the continuation of our work together.

List of Projects that I have been active in:

-Mecca Project: Supervising the drilling of four (4) sixty meter boreholes, in Mecca, in order to investigation the sub-surface conditions of the area, in order to help in assessing the foundation requirements for the construction of a commercial tower that was under management of Bin Laden group. The area was of igneous nature, where the findings were mostly of a grano-dioritic basement.

ACTS (Advanced Construction Technology Services) - Beirut, Lebanon

May 2012 – June 2013

Geologist:

My duties included the following:

- Site reconnaissance (Preliminary geological study of the site area as well as conducting a site description).

- Site monitoring and supervision.

- Borehole logging, lab schedule preparation and sampling according to the British Standard For site investigation

(BS5930).

- Analyzing geological data gathered on site as well as the subsequent laboratory results compiled.

- Preparing a factual and analysis report (Geology and stratigraphy; Geo-mechanical Parameters, Bearing Capacity and Settlement Calculations.)

Some of the projects that I have been active in were:

- Normandy Project (Beirut Water Front): Supervising the drilling of seven (7) boreholes of 60 to

70 meters depths. Performing logging for the boreholes and sample analysis and collection for

laboratory testing. Performing ground water readings, performing SPT tests, as well as falling

head and constant head permeability Test.

-Clemenceau Hospital Project: Supervising the drilling of four (4) fifty meter boreholes, for sub- surface conditions reconnaissance. Logging and ground water monitoring were performed.

-Clemenceau Project: Supervising the destruction drilling and grouting of fifty (50) boreholes of

5 meter depth. In order to improve the ground strength in that area, since it was found to have a

lot of fractured rock and voids.

-Peugeot Project: Supervising the Site investigation for the new Peugeot show-room in Beirut (naher Beirut Area). Logging, SPT and sample collection were performed for three (3) ten meter boreholes.

-Tyre Project: Supervising the site investigation works of a commercial building in the city of Tyre, which included the drilling of four (4) boreholes of 20 meters. Logging, SPT and sample collection were performed.

-Sawfar Project: Supervising the drilling activities of five (5) boreholes 25 meters in depth to monitor the ground water readings as well as to examine the sub-surface stratigraphic conditions.

-Taran Project (North of Tripoli City): Drilling three (3) 10 meter boreholes, in order to inspect the sub-surface stratigraphic conditions. Retrieving undisturbed samples using split spoon method in soft clay material. Logging, SPT and sample collection were performed.

-Dbayeh Project: Partial Supervision of our site investigation in the Dbayeh area for the new water front project. Performing Logging, and supervising constant head permeability test.

-Deir Yasuu Project (Mountain area above Aleih): Supervising the drilling operations of four (4) boreholes ranging between 15 and 25 meters in depth. Logging, Sample retrieval for laboratory testing and ground water monitoring were performed.

-Fakra Project: Supervising the grouting operations of one-hundred and forty (140) boreholes, 10 meter in depth. Using a Data logger during our work to monitor the grouting procedure to insure grouting efficiency.

GEOWORKS (Shoring and Foundation) - Dbayeh, Lebanon

September 2011 – February 2012

Intern Site Geologist:

Assisting with the drilling activities and completion of a Diaphragm wall around a 2000 meter square area in

Dbayeh (North of Beirut). My duties included:

- Give out instructions to workers, to accomplish their daily activities.

- Monitor the site and make sure all equipment needed are available and properly working.

- Complete the logging of the Diaphragm walls drilled.

- Accomplish a daily report on all activities done and prepare for next day activities.
