Work Experience
I have been currently working in Fluid Control Research Institute, Palakkad, India as Junior Engineer with 1 year 3 months of experience. I have been associated with the activities of Electro Technical & Thermal Laboratory of Fluid Control Research Institute. My duties & responsibilities include:
Calibration of Instruments related to Electro Technical such as Voltage, Current, Resistance, Power, Time, and Frequency.
Calibration of Instruments related to Thermal parameters such as Temperature & Humidity.
Calibration & Commissioning of various field instruments like Digital Multimeters, Isolated Measurement Pods (IMP), UEI Dataloggers, Universal Counters, Digital Earth Resistance Tester, Temperature Transmitters, RTDs, Thermocouples, Glass Thermometers etc.
Calibration Certificate preparation of Electro Technical & Thermal parameters and Uncertainty Calculation.
Checking of Calibration Certificate.
Upkeep of all quality related documents & interaction with Quality Department.
Inspection & verification of received items for calibration.
Supervision and overall responsibilities of daily activities of the lab.
Organizing the routine calibration in consultation with the Lab in Charge.
Stability & Uniformity check of Temperature Baths.
Familiarized with Calibration of SPRT’s by Fixed point cell method.
Familiarized with various types of Electronic, Pneumatic, Temperature & Flow Equipments.
Familiarized with handling of Smart Transmitters using HART Communicator.
Involved in NABL (National Accreditation Board for Calibration & Testing of Laboratories) auditing (June 2015-2017) of electro technical and thermal laboratories in FCRI, Palakkad by satisfying all the requirements as laid down in the ISO/IEC 17025 or ISO 15189 standards, specific criteria and other guidelines/requirements of NABL.
Preparation of quality related documents for NABL accreditation as per IEC 17025 and implementation of ISO 9000-2000 certification.
Hands on experience in LabVIEW programming for calibration of Analog Input Modules like NI 9203, Field Point Modules like FP-AI-110
Team member in the inspection and validation of Custody Transfer Metering Skid involving calibration of secondary instruments like Temperature Transmitters, Differential Pressure Transmitters, Flow Computers for M/s.GAIL India Limited (Dabhol- Bangalore Natural Gas Pipeline), M/s.Cairn-Ravva Onshore Terminal, Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh as per AGA standards.
Lead on-site calibration of a Pulse counter at M/s. Autometers Energetic Flow Calibration Laboratory, Noida, Uttar Pradesh
Involved in on-site calibration of Electronic Instruments like AC/DC Voltmeters, Frequencymeters, Low Distortion Audio Generators, Function Generators, 6 Digit Multimeters etc. at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Sunabeda, Koraput District
Involved in various on-site calibration of Analytical Laboratory equipments like Hot Air Sterilizers, Bacteriological Incubators, Refractometer Water Bath.
Familiarizing the measurement capabilities and facilities of the Lab to Professionals who attend training at FCRI, including Foreign trainees.
