Spa Manager

As the Spa Manager my responsibilities include the daily operations of the spa, staff management, client relations, vendor relations, and staff training. I was responsible for daily closeout of sales, weekly sales reports, cash management, client retention, service protocols, as well as booking appointments, supply management, and keeping the spa aesthetically pleasing.

I was also responsible for the overall first impression that clients experienced when they walked into Acchaa and Thread Away, into the spa rooms and browsed the retail section. Through artfully placed authentic Indian artwork, intoxicating aromas, and organization of rooms from the lighting to placement of products to the reception desk decor I created environments that stimulated relaxation.

Marketing Manager

My responsibilities included organizing off-site promotional events such as “Style Chicago,” Old Town Wells Street Art Festival,” developing relationships with Lollapalooza, and other targeted neighborhood events. I also wrote all the copy for Acchaa’s website, including revising the first version, adding content to “Monthly Treatment Specials,” and a blog titled “What Your Skin Says About You.”

As retail and aesthetics manager it was my responsibility to work with vendors to bring in brands that reflected Acchaa’s wellness mission. I created a retail section reflective of Ayurvedic healing beliefs. Eminence Handmade Organic Skincare, Skinceuticals, and Green Envee oils and chakra mists along with unique Indian handmade tops and jewelry created a well-rounded and interesting boutique for clients. I also managed inventory for back bar products, set pricing, and created shelf talkers to draw clients into product lines by creating conversation pieces.
