Project Description:

The scope of this project comprises of implementation and support of Oracle Utility Applications namely Meter Data Management and Work and Asset Management for the five power distribution companies of Karnataka (INDIA) - BESCOM, MESCOM, CESC, HESCOM and GESCOM.

R-APDRP is an initiative by Ministry of Power (MoP) in India to improve the efficiency of power distribution companies across India. This project is part of Part-A of R-APDRP that covers IT enablement (applications and infrastructure).

There are 19 different stakeholders involved in this overall project, with which MDM has to be integrated with.

The main target of the project is to bring the Electric Utility under IT and also to cut down the technical losses in transmission through efficient monitoring of consumption and billing of the utility.

Roles and responsibilities:

Development:

Development of MDA validations using pl/sql and rules language using XML inputs.

Development of SCADA validations using pl/sql and rules language using excel inputs.

Responsible for formulating techniques to be used in various calculations for estimation of Consumption Data and estimation of various Technical Losses.

Development of Energy Audit component using pl/sql and rules language. This involved working in Oracle EIP 1.6(Energy Information Platform), MDM 1.6 (Meter Data Management) and Toad

Development of the HLD and DLD for MDA, SCADA and derivation components.

Co-ordinated the major implementation phase of MDM module in Mangalore Electricity Supply Company.

Working in solving any application issue that the support team encounters in the CCB application from the Front end.

Development of Reports and Forms using Oracle report/Form builders.

Development on Java portal according to user requirements.

Additional Responsibility

Data Migration coordinator from VSS to TFS.Configuring the environment for data Migration and resolving data issues whenever it is occurred.
