IAF is related to Customer care module, Self-Care, Reporting, Auto Registration, Configuration, Product console and Data Management modules. It help to Create and Maintain Accounts like BAN and SUB,, Handle Tunnels, Manage IP Addresses, View Billing and Usage information, Manage Users, Manage Account Administrators, Manage Receivables and Generate Reports.
BAN numbers are provided in ranges and when it gets exhausted, a new BAN range must be obtained. Expanding the length of the BAN sequence extends the pool of available TLG BAN ranges beyond the projected exhaustion date and provides a long-term solution to BAN sequence limitations. The suggested solution is to increase the BAN and CUSTOMER_ID field lengths from nine to 12 digits.
