PROFILE
A Graduate Civil engineer working in both residential, commercial construction projects and topography land surveying projects as a field engineer and Instrument operator in UK and USA, performing construction layouts, preliminary as-built, control, topography, boundary, ALTA surveys for projects, working alongside architects, engineers, supers and foremen and subcontractors.
Skills and Experience include:
- Perform construction stakeout and associated preliminary topographic survey, boundary,
ALTA and construction surveys for public and private clients.
- Operate and maintain various surveying instruments to measure and verify elevations, angles
and distances.
- Perform mathematical calculations to establish and locate reference points, property corners,
vertical and horizontal reference points, and line staking for projects.
- Interpret maps, plats, 2D and 3D blueprints.
- Clean, check and adjust survey instruments to assure accuracy of measurements.
- Oversee surveying activities in the absence of survey party chief.
- Working Experience on Reinforced Concrete structures, steel frame and
Masonry Structures, Ground work, drainage.
- Use of modern construction instruments, total station (conventional and robotic), Carlson
data collector and GPS, levels.
- Downloading and uploading data collector files.
- Different techniques of layout methods for external and internal elements.
- Setting up profiles for Drainage/road.
- Use of Coordinates.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit Architecture 2D/3D modeling and detailing,
Microsoft word and Excel Programs.

-Duties include but not limited Carrying out a range of surveying assignments and assist the survey party chief as directed to conduct land surveys of roads, buildings sites, boundaries and topography. Staking out utilities, curbs and pavements edges, existing conditions, horizontal and vertical controls, construction layouts, benchmarks, Invert levels, traverse control points. Responsibilities also include setting up and operating survey equipment, including data collector, level, and GPS as well as performing all aspects of stakeout and location surveys using applicable survey equipment.
Site Engineer, UK 2010 – May 2015
-Project Engineer working for Zak Engineering services. Responsible for Cladding (with a minimum tolerance in accordance with the manufacturer’s specification). The job requires careful layout in order to install and assemble the components in position.
