Project Title: Infrared Aided Guidance Stick for the Blind using Voice Recognition and GPS Navigation System.

Description:

The main objective of this project was an innovative idea of intelligent stick which has basically two features, the first one is “Obstacle detection” and the second one is “Providing accurate location and position through GPS”. It provides safety and support to visually impaired Persons. The Infrared sensors in the stick senses surroundings, detects the obstacles, gives feedback to buzzer and vibrator to change the path way. COMPUTER PROFICIENCY:

Designing tools : RS LOGIX 500, RS VIEW 32.

Languages : Turbo C, C++

Platforms used : Windows-XP, 7, 8.

Packages : Ms-office.

INDUSTRIAL VISITS:

A one day visit to “Ennore Thermal Power Station” at Ennore, Chennai during 2012 and observed the operational facilities.
