Bracket provides Web-based and interactive voice response software systems for conducting Clinical trial process. The product is used by pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to conduct FDA approved clinical research studies for their drugs. As a part of technical delivery team, my role is to understand the specifications for each trial/study and to implement a customized solution that fits their needs. This involved assuming complete responsibility of the entire lifecycle of the system from requirements, development, testing to the final client delivery along with providing support during the maintenance phase. • Responsible for the design, development and on time delivery of individual client applications using MVC and REST Architecture.

• Implemented stored procedures to manage shipping and inventory modules. Implemented the necessary business rules and validations in the stored procedures using functions and constraints.

• Developed ETL packages to translate kit lists, treatment assignment list from different data sources provided by the statistics team and loaded them to the application database.

The project involves managing and collecting clinical trial data from the patients for research studies. It involves tracking the patients, all the way from registration to end of the research study. The data collected through the system is then used by doctors and research analysts for implementing and monitoring clinical trials. The system has tracked patient information for as much as 15 years already. The system also collected input over an IVR for patients who were unable to fill forms online.

• Designed form based application to collect patient information for various research studies (research protocols).Each protocol had different set of questions and answers and needs a metadata based approach to make it significantly productive when compared to developing the forms individually for each customer. This reduced the time to develop and deploy new forms from weeks to days.

• Deployed and managed Microsoft Speech Server for the application during initial launch of the IVR Features. This feature was delivered under very short timeline and tight schedules. The team was selected as one of the high performing teams in the group after the project. Created Grammars and Prompts for proper enrollment of subjects into the study.

• Functioned as a Scrum master. Managed sprint planning, capacity planning and ran daily scrums. This was very well received by both engineers and management with great feedback from both groups.

• Improved performance by 35% using standard database optimizations. Added missing indexes and implemented cursors in stored procedures.

• Used Microsoft Enterprise Library for elegant and centralized exception handling. A system was implemented to notify by email and send SMS in case of fatal exceptions.

• Set coding standards for the team, which were eventually made standard for the group.

• Troubleshooting errors in the data by interacting with the Clinical Research assistants, writing SQL and PLSQL scripts, and stored procedures, to maintain data integrity.
