Cisco Telepresence Global Project Manager

Contracted through Coretech to lead the development and implementation of Cisco Telepresence rooms at multiple Johnson & Johnson sites throughout North America and Latin America. Lead site-specific teams of up to 15 internal IT staff and contractors from such vendors as Cisco and Verizon in establishing business requirements, specifications, and budgets for each implementation, which may range from 2 to 12 months depending on size of facility. Senior Project Manager (contract)

Contracted through Manpower to manage the migration of the Radiance Network (RXN), which had been recently acquired by British Telecom, to BTN (MPLS) systems. Supervised a team of 10 Order Managers, the first point of contact with end users, in migration, post-migration testing, and scheduling projects with major securities and investment trading firms. Provided clear plans and visibility to senior managers and FCE Providers, some of which provided carrier services to more than 250 clients with complex multicast and unicast requiring expert engineering to enable the MPLS services.

Assumed leadership responsibility for what had been a failing migration, ultimately completing the consolidation of more than 400 sites into combined data centers and the new BT network on schedule to avoid potential performance penalties of £1M to £2M per month.

Built and maintained professional relationships with the GBFM and BTID Management Teams and the Thomson Reuters Program Team.

Served as single point of contact for major providers and end customers.

Gained the approval of senior management for plans and dependencies, risks, and assumptions.

Global Project Manager

Supervised teams of up to 50 on multiple projects for major trading houses. Oversaw budgets, managed equipment orders and deliveries, and oversaw the Total Circuit Management (TCM) group. Projects included the installation of a 1700-position IPC IQ/MAX turret system, a lab system, identical IQ/MAX systems in dual data centers in two states, and a Nice NPR 3 recording system. Installed ESS (enterprise SIP servers), NGST servers and soft turrets, Proteus Call accounting system (CDR), NMS Network Monitoring Servers, EASe disaster-recovery system with full failover to alternate data center, TCS call impact for click-to-dial to the PC, EHI servers for IP-based hoot service, and QSIG integration with Avaya PBX.

The first of three Global Project Managers to manage such major projects as the $80M Merrill Lynch system, which included mirror data centers and, ultimately the turret-system integration between Merrill Lynch and Bank of America following the merger, a project that included coordination and installation of networking for 3728 lines between four separate systems and site ID administrations.

Provide post-cutover coordination and support for Day 2 requests for all locations.

Associate Vice President, Telecommunication

As a contractor, held the position of AVP and reported directly to the Chief Technology Officer. Managed the operations of a data center through six direct reports in New York and Chicago and had day-to-day oversight responsibility for the help desk and first-, second-, and third-level support teams for the trading floor. Designed and managed circuit entry and redundant circuitry throughout the facility including secondary entry from street level into a building in Rockefeller Plaza. Managed all cabling infrastructure in New York, Chicago, Kansas City, and Houston. Managed all adds, moves, and changes on Nortel Meridian PBX using Meridian Administration tools, Etrali Jade, and Call Pilot voicemail software. Designed and implemented analysis procedures for both voice and data circuits to determine duplicate costs. Managed circuit diversification and duplicate cost and circuit removals. Created a consolidated circuit inventory with detailed user and carrier information. Created documentation for all equipment, including legacy analysis, upgrade pricing, and project management of replacement solutions. Managed all telecom contractors for PBX, Turret, and Nicelog technologies. Coordinated all telecommunication equipment upgrades for New York, Chicago, Lombard, Kansas City, White Plains, and Houston.

Succeeded in implementing a new turrett system to upgrade the entire company infrastructure, a project that had been attempted before unsuccessfully.

A multimedia company that was revamping technology and bringing development and infrastructure in house.

Lead Technician/Project Manager

Managed a 900-position move/reconfiguration for Swiss Bank/UBS merger in Stamford, Connecticut. This included the programming and testing of approximately 1500 private circuits and the installation and testing of 128 T-1’s, 56k circuits, ISDN and tie lines. Converted analog shelves to digital for incoming T-1 lines. Installed, programmed and tested approximately 98 hoot circuits. Implemented MCDN software for virtual lines for T-1 usage.
